Third Sunday of Advent

Third Sunday of Advent - with St. Therese of Lisieux | News | Order of Carmelites

This week we are reminded of the JOY at the coming birth of Jesus!

Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great JOY which will be to all people.” (Luke 2:10)

Our theme this year, heading toward Christmas Eve is “Have You Seen the Angels?”  This Sunday as we light the Advent Candle, we want to remember Mary who in Luke 1 is told by an angel that she is going to have a baby.  This certainly is impossible because she is still a virgin.  She accepted this news “My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord…!”

Then the message for Sunday: Four Simple Ways to Invite Christ into Your Christmas.    This Christmas is unlike any other.  There are no parties.  Family gatherings are limited.  The number of folks who can attend Christmas Eve services are limited, and most of America is locked down from the virus.  Yet Christ can still be a central part of everyone’s Christmas.

It will be so wonderful to greet you and your family this Sunday.

**Due to the ongoing COVID pandemic, we observe social distancing protocols, we ask that masks to be worn and you will be asked if we may check your temperature.**
